The Magical Fountain

In Barcelona, there is a fountain called the Magical Fountain and every night between the hours of 9pm and 11pm they do a light and water show that restarts every 15 minutes. On our last night, we decided to walk to the fountains with Shane to see the magic everyone was talking about. The fountain was kind of far away from our hostel but at this point in our trip I'm watching our budget so instead of taking the metro I encouraged everyone to walk (Jose would be proud).
We walked by this fountain thinking it was magical but when we didn't see any people nearby we kept on walking.

We found this area all
Lit up as well.

When we arrived we were treated to a very special special sight of this huge fountain spurting water jets up in the air with colors and music. It could be described as similar to the Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas, but with way more music and you can get really close to the water.

They played a variety of music-itialian opera style, classical, rock.

At one point they even played the batman song and the Simpsons!

We stayed until the end watching the waters dance before our eyes. We were surrounded by so many people but it didn't feel like it when the water would shoot up into the air and turn a beautiful shade of red or blue.

After the magical fountain we walked allll the way back. We were pretty tired and had one more day to explore before departing to Madrid. So we went back to our hostel. Shane was still full of energy and decided to spend the evening enjoying the night life. He would depart back home the following day.
